16th bolton (the oaks) scout group
The 16th Bolton Scout Group is part of the Bolton Moorland Scout District and the Group was founded on 22nd May 1981. We currently have 3 sections, Beavers (age 6-8), Cubs (age 8–10 1/2) and Scouts (age 10 1/2-14).
We offer a wide and varied programme for boys and girls including:
We are very grateful to The Oaks Primary School for allowing us to use their school hall as our meeting place during term time on Wednesdays (Cubs), Thursdays (Beavers) and Fridays (Beavers and Scouts).
The 16th Bolton Scout Group is one of seventeen groups within our scouting district of Bolton Moorland. The district also has several Explorer Units which is where the Scouts move to when they leave their troop. Bolton Moorland district has close links with neighbouring districts and with Greater Manchester North County and had several members attending the Jamboree in Japan 2015.
We offer a wide and varied programme for boys and girls including:
- Trips
- Camps and sleepovers
- International trips
- Activity and challenge badges
- Crafts
- Games
- Events with other scout groups in Bolton and further afield
- Participation in community projects
